The Opportunity

Responsible for treating freight/transportation invoices and reports in coordination with business and 3rd party service provider, and providing support to the team.

The Role

  • Prepare and upload weekly freight reports / Freight account reconciliations/Reports
  • Requires working with multiple ERP Systems
  • Respond to requests from branches and vendors, following up as necessary
  • Receive / sort / code invoices, forwarding them as required to the appropriate area
  • Perform general accounting activities, including preparing month-end journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations investigating any questionable balances and ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
  • Propose recommendations for process improvements- focus on efficiency as well as proposing new procedures and reports that will improve management decision making.

The Candidate

  • Analyzing Information and attention to details
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understanding of Basic Accounting
  • Intermediate in Microsoft excel
  • Comfortable with multiple ERP’s
  • Multitasking
  • Bilingualism
  • Autonomy and resourcefulness

Education: High school diploma required; DEC, DEP or AEC in Accounting considered an asset

Work Experience: 3+ years; Experience in the freight and transportation industry considered an asset
