ROLE

The Coordinator, Integrated Marketing is responsible for supporting the overall integrated marketing communications (IMC) strategy by executing the day-to-day responsibilities for all digital channels (web, email, and paid digital/social), managing cross-channel integrated marketing calendar, service as point of contact for several cross-departmental initiatives and overseeing the day-to-day relationship with external vendors. Success in this role will be determined by the ability to execute the organization’s IMC strategy to achieve key revenue, fan engagement and messaging goals across all fan-facing, multi-channel direct marketing efforts. The ideal candidate has experience in email or paid digital marketing, is comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment, is passionate about the impact of data-driven marketing to drive revenue and desires to make a difference by leveraging the right processes to support excellence in campaign execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as primary IMC point of contact for several cross-departmental stakeholders to understand their business need (ex: regular season single game tickets), work with the Manager, Integrated Marketing to develop a cross-channel marketing strategy to achieve those business needs, and successfully execute those strategies.
  • Manage cross-channel integrated marketing calendar, ensure that communications across all initiatives are sent out on time (email, web, social, press, print, and other channels).
  • Work closely with counterparts from the Communications to assemble the appropriate audiences and messaging for fan communications including emails, radio spots, brochure and digital ad copy.
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Digital Content to ensure @cubs social media channels fulfill relevant, timely and compelling content requests to drive specific revenue goals.
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for external vendors to create needed collateral or materials to support IMC strategies or to make necessary updates to cubs.com or club emails.
  • Assist the Manager, Integrated Marketing with IMC strategy annually and long term, coordinating objectives across multiple business functions including marketing, ticket operations, corporate partnerships and community affairs.
  • Coordinate regularly and timely reporting on integrated marketing initiatives and ROI.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 years email or paid digital marketing experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or similar from accredited university.

  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing communications fundamentals within mobile, email, social, PR and web channels.
  • Experienced in hands-on implementation and results measurement.
  • Demonstrated project management skills including calendar and campaign management.
  • Demonstrated communication skills including written, verbal and listening.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, take ownership and administer projects.
  • Ability to work a varied, non-standard schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
