Summary of essential job functions:
Sallyport is seeking a motivated, entry level help desk representative to join our growing team! We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills, interested in growing in the IT field, with ability to troubleshoot a wide variety of technical issues. The right candidate must be highly motivated to learn our technology and provide outstanding customer service to all internal and external clients.
Roles and responsibilities:
Act as a front-line interface to users by accepting, prioritizing and resolving helpdesk trouble tickets while providing exceptional customer service.
Administer various user accounts including but not limited to: new user setup, network permissions, configuration of corporate e-mail via Microsoft exchange & distribution list maintenance.
- Install and provide support for all hardware and peripherals.
- Setup & administration of internal company phone and voicemail.
- Maintain printers/copiers & escalate service issues to vendors if needed.
- Troubleshoot application system issues, resolve or recommend solutions.
- Research issues to resolve problems outside of knowledgebase.
- Addresses all other technical issues as they arise.
- Provide onsite and remote troubleshooting services to end users.
Offer technical support to end users via phone or email.
Document problems and solutions for future reference.
Execute help desk assignments to ensure Customer issues are resolved in a timely fashion.
Provide excellent service to internal/external Customers

Must be a team player.
- Comfortable providing desk-side support.
Must be organized, have attention to detail, and be able to prioritize and multi-task effectively
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Ability to work with end users with varying levels of technical experience
Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with general supervision.
Minimum qualifications and education requirements:
High school graduate with one to three years of IT support experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of Windows operating systems as well as Microsoft Office Suite
