Join Longwood Gardens dynamic Marketing team and helps us ensure data driven decision making is used throughout the organization. The Marketing Data Analyst is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of data and for analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities. The primary responsibility of this role is to support marketing strategies and execute them in alignment with organizational goals. This individual is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on visitor and member data used for the development and execution of marketing plans and for overall planning. This position works closely with staff in other areas to ensure that systems are capturing the data necessary to use and analyze.
Tasks include understanding visitor and member data to develop audiences and segments to be used for marketing and communications; gathering data on visitor and guest visitation, past sales and demographics to analyze prices and methods of marketing and distribution and to use for executing campaigns; tracking and analyzing marketing and sales trends, website traffic, social media performance, and email performance and preparing reports to measure the effectiveness of programs / identify areas for improvement; conducting research on market conditions in specific areas and analyzing customer preferences to determine potential sales of a product; and managing the implementation and analysis of our guest feedback surveys and assisting with implementation and roll out of new guest experience/survey tools. This individual will also assist with the roll out of our new Customer Relationship Management system and conduct database cleanup projects to ensure guest and Member records are clean and complete.
Minimum requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Applied Statistics, Marketing or Business Administration, with 1-2 years of experience with Excel (including pivot tables and macros), Access, and CRM. Excellent analytical and communication skills required. Raiser’s Edge, Google Analytics and Survey Tool experience are a plus.
