Description of role:
This dynamic role requires a highly professional, organized leader who can work, think and act independently and outside the box. The Office Manager contributes to an efficient operational flow within the organization and will assist in contributing to all entities in which our patient and providers are involved. The individual will assist at the front desk, work with insurances and keep track of contracted rates from each insurer so as to know how much money shall be collected up front from patients with deductible plans, has to be willing to deal with insurances and reaching out to them if there is an issue but we do have a medical biller who does part of this as well so being in communication weekly with the biller or more often if needed to resolve any questions from patients or issues that arise. The office manager will be responsible for standardization of procedures, registering new patients, keeping track of the inbox on our portal and making sure all forms are routed to the correct place and labeled, looking up patients insurances on each payors portal to make sure we take their insurance and seeing where they are with their deductible if the patients are not sure, revenue cycle management and running reports, speaking to our credentialing representative for any educational opportunities as well as keeping up with provider credentialing and compliance as well as developing a team and culture of excellence.The Practice Manager will not be afraid to roll up their sleeves and act as a working leader (answer phones, interact with patients, scheduling of patients, monitor, email and call ZocDoc patients to confirm their appointments as soon as they are made and we receive an alert on the computer), scheduling pharmaceutical rep lunches and other events to promote our practice. Medical office experience is required. The ideal candidate will be polished in appearance, highly energetic, willing to be busy and multitask and possess a highly mature and professional demeanor. Hold staff meetings weekly to discuss any updates, concerns and other agenda items that occur. The office manager will be willing to take direction from the owners of the clinic and be eager and excited to learn new things.
The medical office manager is also cross trained on the front desk role and always happy to help the front desk and to train front desk when front desk is hired.
