The Peer Support Specialist provides a variety of recovery-oriented services to individuals who have self-identified as desiring peer supports to facilitate greater independence, community integration and recovery from homelessness. The Peer Support Specialist by definition is a person in recovery who will utilize their personal recovery experience to instill a sense of hope and optimism in persons in recovery, promote and contribute to the development of a culture of recovery and empowerment within and outside of The Bridge and will uphold the integrity of program goals. In addition, the Peer Support Specialist will complete detailed and accurate case notes and other reports to document program measures including, but not limited to National Outcome Measures devised by SAMHSA.
