Riedmiller & Associates LLC provides back office services for venture capital funds. We work with business owners to ensure their business runs smoothly so they can focus on finding that next unicorn. It’s a great time to join our close-knit team as we are currently operating as a start-up and are growing fast. We’re looking a full-time senior accountant to provide financial reporting for a portfolio of entities through excellent customer service and help scale our business and advocate best practices to efficiently support the next wave of growth. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative self-starter with a positive can-do attitude who is system-savvy and possesses a great understanding of accounting operations and principles.

The core responsibilities are:

  • Supervise and review staff bookkeeper entry of transactions (invoices, cash receipts, disbursements, etc) into Quickbooks
  • Review and/or perform GL account reconciliations including bank and investment accounts
  • Preparation and accurate posting of journal entries
  • Coordinate and manage month-end closes including preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (BS, PL, Cash Flow, Equity Rollforward)
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of bills and payroll including cash flow monitoring
  • Review operating agreements for appropriate accounting treatment and calculations
  • Gather information for and respond to client, audit and tax preparer requests
  • Other ad hoc projects as assigned

  • Effective at building strong relationships and interacting with others through excellent communication skills
  • Superb attention to details but can understand the “big picture”
  • Enthusiasm for improving and enhancing systems – you’ll learn the current process but then build it to scale with the volume of our growth

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of hands-on accounting experience
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control best practices
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance and/or accounting or equivalent practical experience, CPA preferred
  • Strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cloud-based systems (experience with Quickbooks is highly desired

Compensation:

  • Based on experience
  • Bonus may be available based on meeting specific firm metrics

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000.00 to $130,000.00 /year
