Beretta USA Corp is currently searching for a talented Sales Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for covering a multi-state area in Washington, Oregon and Northern California. The ideal candidate will physically be located in one of those States and have the ability to travel to each of them frequently.
The objective of the Territory Manager is to solicit orders for company products for business and industrial establishments at sales office, store, showroom, or customer’s place of business. The Territory Manager will have a defined territory, however, often they will be asked and are expected to assist in manning different shoots, functions, promotions, and events that fall outside the defined territory. All job functions will be geared around promoting the Beretta Brand.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Be willing to learn and utilize certain skills within a complex sales environment.Also be willing to adapt to the ever-changing sales cycle in a way that is geared around the customer’s needs and incorporates teaching, tailoring, and taking control.Open new direct dealers, non-firearm dealers, and range accounts, utilizing lists provided by BUSA Corporate, and by prospecting in the assigned territory.Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talk with customers in person or via phone.Execute promotional programs and merchandising opportunities with customers in retail environment.Coordination of customer and industry events within assigned territory Execute promotional programs and merchandising opportunities with customers.Display or demonstrate product, using samples or catalog, and emphasize salable features.Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.Estimate date of delivery to customers, based on knowledge of firm’s production and delivery schedule.Prepare reports of business transactions via company CRM platform. (Salesforce.com)Keep expense accounts current via company expense program.Work to sell and service in-direct dealers who may buy all or some of their products from an authorized Beretta Distributor.Work with Inside Sales Representatives (ISR’s) to keep account activities and literature updated. Also coordinate with ISR the follow up and coordination of sales to smaller accounts for better and more economical service via scheduled phone calls and emails.Track stock levels.Coordinate customer training.Ability to work well independently with minimum supervision.Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.Investigate and resolve customer problems according to company policy.Follow through to ensure that problems are satisfactorily resolved.Suggest new procedures on programs to prevent customer’s problems/complaints.Attend trade shows, dealer promotions, and regional and national shoots.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: Assist in the operations of other Sales Managers and departmental functions. Perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS\PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent travel required. Ability to travel by plane required, both domestically and internationally. Ability to regularly lift/carry up to 25 lbs. Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. Qualified candidates must be able to pass an extensive criminal background check.
QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES: Knowledge of product preferred. Good problem solving skills. Excellent written skills: ability to write clearly and informatively. Excellent oral communication skills: speak clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations. Ability to calculate figures and amounts in order to calculate discounts. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
EXPERIENCE\EDUCATION: Basic pc skills required; word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and Internet. Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university required. 3-5 years related sales experience and/or training required. Experience in shooting sports industry preferred. Firearm knowledge/experience preferred.
