Job Description

As a key partner to the SMA & Product teams, this role will help drive the successful expansion of OFI's separately managed account ( SMA ) business, specifically with the delivery of equity model SMAs. Working closely with product development, distribution, operations, legal, risk, compliance, trading and portfolio management, this role will be responsible for designing and launching new strategies, supporting existing strategies, training, and supporting distribution on equity model SMA products, and overseeing the process and procedures that are required to expand and support the SMA business. This person is also expected to be agile in addressing asset class and strategy specific Q&A. This individual must also be able to execute on product management related initiatives, including, but not limited to, in-depth competitive analysis, generation of compelling investment specific sales ideas, and creating effective strategy specific presentations. Key to success in this role will be the ability to partner across departments and with multiple autonomous Portfolio Managers as well as other product managers and develop and execute on product marketing initiatives designed to build sales momentum and/or defend a critical investment franchises.

Strong SMA product and platform experience is critical for success in this position. This individual must have a combination of SMA technical expertise with the ability to project manage and navigate the internal/external landscape to bring SMA products to market. The role is reports to the SVP of our Separately Managed Account business unit with a matrix reporting relationship to the SVP, Co-Head of Investment Products and Solutions department, Equity business.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • With a client-centric lens, drive development of product specifications and supporting technical materials in support of the launch of new and the implementation of existing of SMA strategies
  • Deliver ad hoc and routine reports to heat mapping flows, roster depth, and roster need to support the pipeline process
  • Liaise with trading and technology teams when launching new strategies to drive and ensure proper execution and portfolio implementation
  • Provide ongoing performance monitoring and tracking error review of SMA strategies
  • Provide sales support on client calls (platforms, BDs, RIAs, etc.)
  • Participate in and facilitate internal SMA product training
  • Partner with the Business Development Team to respond to RFIs
  • Influence and manage continuous improvement of project/program process, practices and initiatives
  • Maintain in-depth awareness of Managed Services industry trends, competitors, business conditions and internal processes and practices to meet program delivery requirements

Qualifications

  • Persuasive oral, written, and presentation communications skills and the ability to simply and effectively describe complex ideas to different audiences
  • Ability to establish and build effective working relationships across departments and with multiple autonomous Portfolio Managers as well as with key clients, client firms, vendor partners, internal departments, and with industry groups and influencers
  • Effective ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently and simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities and timelines
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, problem solve around complex and tactical solutions, and connect broad ideas with detailed execution
  • A genuine team player that believes in the power of collaborative work and builds relationships with co-workers
  • Strong understanding of SMA weightings, performance attributes, and tax positions
  • Understanding of trading, risk metric, and settlement systems, such as Charles River
  • 5+ years of experience in program management with specific experience in Managed Services and/or Product Management
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA/CFA preferred
