Job Description

The Project Engineer is responsible for the overall engineering ,scheduling ,coordination and commsioneing of moveable bridges

Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to

• Review all the shop drawings for steel, machinery, controls etc. for the bridges
• Review, calculate whatever is necessary in the balancing of the bridge during the phase of construction and then the final balancing
• Create a sequence and schedule for the installation of the bridges
• Quality control of the installation of the bridges system etc. either by in-house forces or subcontract
• Supervise the balancing of the bridges
• Create and implement a commissioning procedure for the temp and permanent bridges
• Direct reports include: Assistant Project Engineer
• Prepare project status reports and works to ensure work adheres to contract specifications
• Effectively oversee subcontract managemen
• Monitor Quality Control and hold supervisors accountable for their products
• Carry out job duties while maintaining Lane values
• And other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred but not mandatory
• MUST have Moveable Bridge Experience
• Minimum 8 years of project experience in heavy/highway construction
• Creativity and innovation are a must
• Must have excellent team building skills
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
