An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Pearson Education as an appeals administrator, on a temporary basis. These roles are expected to start in August, the contract is expected to last for 1-3 months and there is a possibility of moving to other roles after the contract is completed. It’s also common for successful applicants to go on to be invited to apply for permanent positions in the business as a result of their performance in such temporary roles.

The role will be broadly based around office hours, Monday - Friday, but overtime may be required on occasion.

The Role

As an appeals administrator at Pearson, you will be part of a motivated and highly skilled team responsible for supporting the appeals process of TAGS (teacher assessed grades). The function of this role is absolutely critical to the successful delivery of exam results.

The role of the Appeals Administrator is varied and will include:-

· General administration

· Working as part of a team

· Computer use

· Problem solving

The Person

No experience in a similar role is necessary, as full training and ongoing support will be provided, however, the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following skills:-

· Excellent customer service skills

· The ability to communicate with influence

· The ability to work with others to achieve goals

· A commitment to delivering goals in a changing environment

· A high level of attention to detail

· The ability to complete repetitive tasks with complete focus and a high emphasis on quality.

· Good organisational skills

· Be able to communicate effectively with other teams

· Good general Microsoft Office skills

Further to this, the successful applicant will be:-

· Highly motivated

· Able to prioritise and manage their own workload

· Willing to actively seek information and able handle it appropriately

· Prepared to be flexible in their approach to problem solving

· Be able to act on their own initiative.
