This opportunity will suit someone who is able to manage a large portfolio of high turnover clients in varying sectors so attention to detail and the ability to manage workflow and meet deadlines will be critical. You will be able to build trusted and long-lasting relationships with clients, whilst always striving to deliver excellence.

You will also be looking to really make a difference to the firm, supporting the Partners in identifying and pursuing commercial opportunities and you’ll be a great mentor and inspiration for junior staff, helping to nurture a workforce that this firm can really be proud of.

Job Purpose

• Management of audits, from planning to completion.
• Preparation and review of management and statutory of accounts for a diverse range of clients.
• Lead a portfolio of clients, from resource planning to WIP and budget management.
• Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, being the go-to for support.
• Deliver a strong commercial awareness, reviewing opportunities for fee development.
• Confidently present work to Partners, completing files to a high standard.
• Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance.
• Handle compliance queries from clients, acting as the main point of contact and delivering clear communications.
• Provide quotes and estimate fees.
• Assist with pitching to new clients and attending networking opportunities, championing new business for the firm.
• Delegate work to, and mentor new trainees, supporting with their learning and development
• Set an example for the team as a natural leader

What’s On Offer

• £70,000 to £80,000 per annum.
• Permanent role, full time role.

The Successful Applicant

• FCCA, ACCA,ACA or CA qualified with demonstrable accountancy practice experience.
• Experience conducting audits from start to finish with high turnover clients.
• Strong knowledge of current corporate and personal tax and accounting matters.
• Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress.
• Technically efficient in both audit and accounting.
• A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team.
• Previous management experience, with a positive and constructive attitude.
• Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
• Effective communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
• Commercial awareness, with confidence to provide innovative ideas to Partners
