Bristow Holland have an excellent Senior NOC Engineer position working for an exciting nationwide organisation based in Cardiff with 3 days a week working from home.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, operate, and develop the network environment for retail and business customers.
- Act as an escalation point for employees and customer service operatives, as well as providing excellent customer service to retail and business service providers.
- Perform necessary change management minimising customer impact.
- Respond to outages and major incidents and follow incident management best practices.
- Provide a point of senior escalation for level 1&2 Engineers.
- Maintain and upgrade the Core network.
Key Skills:
Essential
- In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
- Familiarity with access control models and network security.
- Sharp troubleshooting skills
- Strong networking experience
Desirable
- Experience with GPON/FTTH technology, experience in a Telecom environment, knowledge of SIP.
- A strong ability to build maintain and troubleshoot MEVPN services.
- Incident Management.
