Begin a rewarding career at Badby Park as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant and be part of a team that provides care and support to some of the most vulnerable people in society.
Working 37.5 hours a week, you'll work alongside the team at Badby Park, where you will care for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries. Reporting to the qualified Speech and Language Therapist, you will carry out therapy programmes for communication and swallowing impairments. This will see you provide support with the communication strategies including communication aids, handling communication groups and participating in joint therapy sessions with other disciplines.
You will provide administrative support to the Lead Therapy Assistant and qualified staff as you assist with managing the 12-week timetable, questionnaires, arranging events and communicating with the units.As a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant, you will assist in delivering therapeutic care under the supervision of a qualified professional. You will attend monthly peer supervision with other TA's, as well as monthly group supervision/training with relevant professionals to enhance your skills and knowledge.
