My client is a global company who are a market leader in their industry.They are seeking an experienced Demand Planner to join the team.

This is a hybrid role

Demand Planner

This role demands a mix of analytic and interpersonal skills, requiring the ability to influence decisions and work across different organisational functions. The Demand Planner must be adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Accountability's

  • Coordinate with relevant departments to identify and address any excess stock
  • Collaborate with Central colleagues to maintain IT systems and processes for optimal supply to customers
  • Forecast short-term demand for A and B articles
  • Continuously monitor forecast accuracy to improve demand planning process and meet supply chain targets
  • Utilise lost order information to improve demand forecast accuracy
  • Monitor and adjust forecasts based on sales and order book data on a daily/weekly basis
  • Regularly review forecasted articles and align with Central targets
  • Analyse stock levels compared to customer orders, direct shipment orders, and market demands
  • Maintain adequate stock levels in the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) based on agreed parameters with Local and Central Demand Management
  • Develop a flagging system to identify and address market availability issues
  • Follow up on out of range or slow-moving items in local RDCs and take necessary actions in consultation with local management
  • Maintain inventory styles in the Material and Demand Analysis (MADA) system according to local Demand Management criteria
  • Participate in the annual sales budget process
  • Prioritize execution based on European shortages (confirmed forecast in Europe is less than forecast in Europe) according to instructions from Master Data Management (MDM)

Key Skills

  • A background in supply chain, inventory management, or related fields
  • Skills in forecasting, procurement, supply chain management, vendor management, and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Proficiency in SAP and other ERP systems, as well as strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills to lead discussions and present forecasts
  • Analysing problems, identifying needs, and presenting effective solutions
