Internal Technical Sales Engineer - UK Based
£30,000 - £35,000 per annum + Excellent company benefits
We are seeking a UK-based Technical Sales Engineer to work closely with the UK Business Development Director and globally distributed engineering teams to proactively develop solutions to a wide variety of customer requirements within the Mining Industry.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Preparation of Quotations
- Liaise with sub-suppliers and request quotations
- Define solutions to customer requirements
- Researching solutions and making recommendations
- Following up on new leads
- Liaising with customers to understand requirements
- Compile proposals
- Marketing activities / attending conferences and exhibitions
- Creating content for marketing activities
- Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain company CRM databases
- Be capable of operating efficiently across multiple projects simultaneously
- Proactively develop contacts
- Self motivated and self sustaining
Qualifications / Experience
- Engineering background in either Mechanical, Electrical or Electrical Controls System background
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering discipline
- Ability to read Technical Drawings
- Technical sales experience within a complex system integration environment (Desirable)
- Intermediate (minimum) to advanced (desirable) skills in MS Excel
- Preference given to those with AutoCad / Inventor skills
- Strong communication skills
- A second European language an advantage - (German language skills a bonus)
Salary: Dependent on experience.
