Blueprint Recruitment are looking for an Operations Assistant to join a leading Electrical Distributor, on a permanent staff basis.
Based in Southampton, the successful candidate will be a part of our client's Marine Division Operations team and be responsible for a range of administration duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilise customer portals and websites to view documents and upload information
- Chase customer's orders
- Liaise with the warehouse regarding UK deliveries
- Check orders for hazardous parts that may require packing and or paperwork to travel
- Create reports for customers to show due dates and delays
- Aim to keep within the KPIs for all customer deliveries
- Process sales orders
- Provide clearance instructions for all imports outside of the UK
- Develop commercial invoices for all non-UK deliveries
- Liaise with the warehouse regarding purchase orders to be collected
- Respond to customer queries regarding orders
- Quote customers for transport charges for ex works deliveries
Key Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Great attention to detail
- Able to work within a busy environment and under time constraints
- MS office skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent time-management skills
